Are normally on the 3rd or 4th Wednesday of the month between February and October at Roseworthy at 7.30pm.

Regional meetings are also held at various locations throughout the year.  Go to the twitter handle @cropsssa or the Facebook page at Crop Science Society for up to date meeting information.

The society will aim to web cast future meetings via Zoom.  Subscribers will receive information via SMS & email for Zoom meeting details.

Information on speakers for the next meeting will be made available a week prior to the event.

 

Next forum; Wednesday February the 17th from 7.30pm at the Roseworthy Campus.

The Crop Science Society February forum is bringing two presenters in via Zoom, with a physical meeting at Roseworthy.

David Hudson (GO Resources) – GO Resources is developing biobased lubricants as alternatives to petroleum-based oils, for use as an engine oil, hydraulic oil, electrical transformer oils, grease and other uses. The super high oleic GM safflower is a new technology available for SA growers. 

Rob Blum (The Leaf Protein Company) – the growing industry of plant based proteins is highlighted by The Leaf Protein Company.  Rob will present on how his company is addressing some key issues such as sustainability and desertification in Agricultural production areas.
